Background Information :

In accordance with USAC and FCC regulations, we solicited bids through the posting of a Form 470 for a networking infrastructure upgrade. We received several bids with two (2) vendors who ended up qualifying. Individual bids were as follows:

Central Technologies, Inc. -- $447,740.00
Area Wide Communications, LLC / Ken-Tenn Wireless -- $477,444.00

Staff Recommendation:

After the E-Rate bidding evaluation matrix and further review by the technology department, I recommend approval of the low bid submitted by Central Technologies, Inc. for $447,740.00.
